some text

My name is Obanise Oluwatosin, from Lagos, Nigeria. I'm a dedicated fashion designer who has always been drawn to the intersection of culture and fashion. With a background in Information Technology and User Experience Design, my journey into the world of design has been one fueled by passion and creativity. I'm thrilled to present this project called "Olori," a term derived from the Yoruba language, meaning "Queen." Olori embodies the essence of modesty and elegance, bringing together timeless sophistication with cultural richness. Inspired by the traditional Yoruba Aso Oke fabric, where threads are intricately woven together, this design pays homage to the artistry and craftsmanship of African textiles. In crafting Olori, I meticulously utilized the details found in Aso Oke to elevate the garment's aesthetic. The tip design, formed from the delicate threads at the end of the fabric, adds an extra layer of sophistication and allure. My vision for Olori was to challenge conventional notions of beauty by showcasing that modesty and class can be equally captivating. The Olori dress elegantly drapes the wearer, providing both coverage and elegance, while making a striking statement. This design serves as a testament to the belief that women can radiate confidence and beauty while upholding their dignity. Central to my brand is a commitment to promoting modesty and elegance. Through Olori and other creations, I aim to inspire women to embrace a lifestyle marked by dignity and grace.
