OriAde

design

some text

My name is Eyinade Adewale Hassan, a Nigerian fashion designer and the founder of TaiLoR wA. I'm excited to introduce my project, OriAde, which showcases the traditional beauty of Aso Oke. Aso Oke is a handwoven textile indigenous to the Yoruba people of western Nigeria and is known for its versatility in creating various designs. The OriAde project begins with obtaining the cap size measurements to ensure a perfect fit. In the sewing process, we use essential materials like thread, lining, collar stay, and, of course, the Aso Oke fabric itself. We cut the fabric into two parallelogram shapes to match the intended size, and from there, the process becomes largely practical, with each step carefully executed to bring the design to life.
