Takedown Policy

Purpose

Ubuntu-AI hosts creative work that contributors choose to share: project images, descriptions, prompts, comments, and forum posts. This policy explains how to ask us to remove content from the platform, and what we can and cannot do after we receive a request.

There is no in-app report button. Send requests to support@ubuntu-ai.net or use the contact form and choose the takedown option. We are a small research team and review notices as they arrive.

What This Policy Covers

Content hosted on Ubuntu-AI includes:

• Project images and thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, links, and prompts
• Profile avatars and usernames
• Project comments and replies (comments are reviewed before they appear publicly)
• Artist messages that a contributor has made public
• Forums content: communities, posts, images, embeds, and comments

Copyright and Intellectual Property

If you believe content on Ubuntu-AI uses your work without permission, email us with as much of the following as you can provide:

• Your name and a working email address
• The URL of the content (for example a project page such as /projects/{id}, or a forum post URL)
• A description of the work you claim is infringed
• A statement that you own the work or are authorized to act for the owner
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, their agent, or the law

Please use the subject line Takedown: copyright. We will review the notice, and if we agree that the content should come down we may unpublish it, delete the files from our storage (including backups where we can), and notify the person who uploaded it.

Other Removals

You do not need copyright paperwork to report hate, harassment, illegal content, spam, impersonation, or scam invitations. Use the subject line Takedown: abuse and include the URL and a short description of the problem.

These reports are handled under our community standards and Terms of Service, which ask project managers to vet people they invite. We may hide, unapprove, or delete the content using the same admin tools we use for comments, messages, projects, and forum posts.

What We Cannot Guarantee

Ubuntu-AI can stop hosting content on this platform. We cannot promise that copies disappear everywhere else:

• Project pages are public. Anyone may have already saved the image or text that was on the page. Unpublishing does not remove those copies.
• Forum posts may embed third-party media (for example a video hosted elsewhere). Removing the embed from Ubuntu-AI does not remove the original from the third-party site.

Notice to Uploaders and Disputes

When we remove a project or post, we will try to tell the contributor who uploaded it. If you believe a removal was a mistake, reply to support with a counter-statement explaining why the content should stay up. Restoration is at our discretion. This is an operational process for a small research project, not a statutory notice-and-counternotice program.

Repeat Violations

Repeated copyright or abuse violations may lead to suspension or termination of an account, including contributor and project-manager invite privileges.

Ownership of Uploads

By uploading to Ubuntu-AI, you confirm that you have the right to publish the work and to allow us to host and display it on the platform. Ubuntu-AI does not license your files to AI companies. Anyone who wants to buy, license, or use the work (including for AI) must deal with you. Do not upload work you do not own or are not authorized to publish.
