My name is Victoria, I'm a Nigerian surface pattern designer and illustrator. I studied textile design, my love for colors and fashion inspired me to develop skills in surface pattern design, I do this as freelance and also work as an in-house designer at grapes pattern bank(a surface pattern design company) I create designs inspired by nature and my everyday life. I work with digital softwares like Adobe Illustrator, photoshop and procreate to create stunning prints for fashion brands looking to stand out with unique designs, these prints are printed digitally on plain fabrics and sewn for fashion collections. I also create unique tie dye symbols and designs for sustainable brands who produce adire which is tie dye. This project I've attached was commissioned to me by a sustainable female clothing brand in Nigeria named Nyosi. The print is inspired by hand painted florals, we wanted to explore simple flowers in watercolor/tie dye forms. The main colors used, yellow and pink depicts boldness and femininity making it pleasing for women to wear.
