The exhibited artwork showcases the historical significance of tribal marks in African cultures, particularly in defining beauty standards for women. "Ilà kiko" (tribal marks) are a unique symbol of cultural identity, beauty, and heritage, steeped in tradition and unique to each tribe. Through my art, I aim to honor the legacy of tribal marks, highlighting their importance in African culture and the pride with which women wear them as a badge of honor, celebrating the diversity and richness of our cultural heritage.
