My name is Nintwari Salem born in Bujumbura I'm a painter, i like crowds when they're swarming, laughter and screams,i paint my desire to cross movement and faces if i couldn't paint i'd be mute condemned to violence in the dictatorship of secrecy overwhelmed by all these feelings without words i'd vanish like a waterless sea,my life wouldn't be the same my talent corrupted in the illicit where moments of happiness are eclipses when they are not ellipses so i painted in a hurry as if my life depended on it i painted by instinct, by survival caught myself painting in order to endure life too much of me in my works maybe i don't paint anymore, i paint myself i've abandoned my being to my works
