Lekie Mkwanazi established her business in 2002 as a fashion designer. She is known within the Ndebele community because of her distinguished styles and patterns. Lekie specialises in winter jackets and has captured a lot of attention and customers. Lekie does not only create Ndebele jackets made of a blanket but also other styles from diverse cultural groups in South Africa. She has thus far created jackets using blankets for Pedi, Ndebele, Sotho and Tswana customers. She further uses strong material that is comfortable and warm. The quality of the material she uses lasts for a long period of time and is reliable. Since the year 2002, Lekie has received support from her customers and her business has grown to employ more people and create job opportunities.
